“A fabulous appreciation of timing, highly regarded discretion and an effortless understanding of people makes Lara one of the best in the business. If you want that pinch of magic added to your wedding photos, this is the lady for you”
Tatler Wedding Guide 2020
“Wedding photography is a fine art and Lara is the queen of this castle. Her discretion, great sense of fun and appreciation of all people as well as her sense of calm means that couples get exactly what they hope for, and more.
Lara prides herself on providing a personal, energetic and exclusive service to her clients in London and around the globe. She photographs all kinds of events and has captured glamorous weddings in locations including Lake Como and Villa Rothschild in France, and special occasions including Elton John’s Christmas party, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 70th and the Queen at home in Buckingham Palace.
Lara works with a relaxed documentary style, creating natural, memorable imagery that reflects the true spirit of the occasion. Her sensitivity and sense of fun put her subjects at ease, and her infectious love of people allows her to capture personalities. With every picture she takes she aims to combine her intuition with technical precision, whilst working hard in the post-production to ensure all her photos are frame-worthy and able to stand the test of time for generations to come.”
“With a historical appreciation for the arts, a diverse, multicultural society, and an abundance of historical and urban landmarks to photograph, creatives in the United Kingdom produce some of the best wedding photography in the world.
In 2016, we shared our 150 Best International Wedding Photographers and 100 Best Wedding Photographers in the U.S. and Canada. After a 4 year hiatus, we’re back at it, combing through thousands of portfolios to find the best wedding photographers in each region. Since we created an all-encompassing list of the best international wedding photographers in our previous round, we decided to narrow down our focus to specific regions of the world to further highlight artists doing incredible creative work in the wedding photography field.”
It’s such an honour being named by Harrods as the UK’s top society snappers!
“More energy than a Duracell bunny. Takes fun, candid photos and is particularly dedicated to post-production.”
“You’re off to a glam party. Somewhere like Claridges or the Serpentine Galleries. What do you see when you arrive? Waiters holding drinks trays, great garlands of flowers and other guests for sure. But also, almost certainly, PHOTOGRAPHERS. Two or three of them, circling the room, pausing every now and then to lift up a CAMERA. The CLICK CLICK CLICK and one specific second of that scene is preserved in perpetuity.”
“The opportunity to photograph the Queen is surely a dream job for any photographer and for DH Alumna, Lara Arnott, the call came earlier this year from the Outdoor Trust to ask if she was available to photograph the Queen unveiling the Commonwealth walkway in London.
So great to catch up with Downe House School about my opportunity to photograph the Queen.”
“Society spectaculars, stolen kisses and that perfect party shot. Tatler’s photographic aces report on four decades of Bystander revelry – and on how they’ve had just as much of a ball as their celebrated subjects’
‘I started shooting parties for Tatler in 2015 after I was approached by Tibbs Jenkins, the Social Editor at the time, and one of my first jobs was a charity evening hosted by Bryan Adams, where I spent the first half hour taking amazingly candid pictures of the wrong man. Minor crisis averted when I spotted the real Adams. You live and learn!
Fun to reminisce with Tatler about some of my highlights of the last five years of shooting with them.”
“Wedding Photography is a fine art and Lara is queen of this castle. Her discretion, great sense of fun, appreciation of people (very important) and the overall sense of calm that ensues (even more important) mean that couples receive exactly what they’ve been hoping for – and more.”
